New Years Eve

This year for New Years Eve we went to dinner downtown with our friends James and Amber then watched the fireworks nice and toasty from inside the World Trade Center where I work. It was the PERFECT view since we had been watching them set up the fireworks for two days on top on the Sheraton rooftop - which is right next door to our building. We could even see the people setting off the fireworks with their headlamps on the roof during the firework show since we were just a few floors above them. It was great!

Here's Will on the 16th Street Mall
Here's James and Amber - even though I see this sign
every day walking in and out of work its always better
at night all lit up.

My camera doesn't do too well at night without a flash
but this was the only way to capture the Gov't and City building
from inside - you get the idea even if its blurry.

For Fun:
This is a picture of my turkey pot pie from the Christmas leftovers.
My first homemade pot pie attempt - and it wasn't actually that bad to
make even if I DON'T like pot pie - Will sure does.
......and even bigger news.....
CAFE RIO IS COMING TO DENVER!!!
Here's a snapshot I took while driving by.
Its right near us (yay!) and even closer to our gym (boo!)
I am SO excited! : )
HAPPY 2010!

Blossoms of Light - Christmas Recap

As things slow down in the new year - I figure its time to recap on Christmas. Will and I have decided that our Christmas Eve tradition for when we are in Denver is to see the Blossoms of Light at the Denver Botanic Gardens. This year we went with Will's family - even though it was FREEZING we were warm with yummy hot chocolate that Will's grandma bought us all. I didn't take any photos on Christmas Day but here are a few snapshots of Christmas Eve.

I spent Christmas Eve Day baking and here are my results
of Deviled Eggs and Pumpkin Pie.

We have a framed photo of this same shot from when we were dating
that adorns our Christmas decor.

We had a great Christmas and we hope you all did too!
