Greek for a Day

Today Will and I went to the Annual Greek Festival at the nearby Greek Orthodox Church. For 3 summers now I have seen tons of cars/traffic and people there during the big festival in June, but this year we finally went to check it out! It was AWESOME! Sadly, we had big dinner reservations at the Melting Pot tonight (but not sad, cause it was so good!)- so it was too late in the afternoon to eat tons of the delicious looking food at the Greek Festival, but next year we know to bring our appetites!

It was such a sunny, beautiful (HOT) day. Great day to be Greek for sure! Fun fact: Will's great-grandma (his dad's side) is full Greek, so whatever part that makes him....you can do the math.

However many hundreds of times I have driven by the big Gold Greek dome, I finally got to go inside today - and honestly, it was breath-taking! Totally did not expect such color inside! The video below (the second one) documents it.

Fun times at the Denver Greek Festival. We bought a little oil painting (seen above) and hopefully will get more matching ones in years to come. By the way, dinner at the Melting Pot was delish tonight, and I have pictures on it for tomorrow. For now, Happy Birthday to ME (tomorrow)!

OPA!
